An ADAM2 Mini-Symposium has been organized during the the International Geometry Summmit (IGS’23):

 [2] Gradient-based optimization of geometries comprised of CAD-compliant microstructures. Jaques Zwar (speaker), L. Chamoin, Stefanie Elgeti.
 [3] Conformal microstructure synthesis in trimmed trivariate based V-reps and Breps. Q Youn Hong (speaker), Youngjin Park, Gershon Elber.
 [4] Geometric construction of disordered auxetic meta-materials. Georges-Pierre Bonneau (speaker), Stefanie Hahmann.

Best paper award at SPM’23

Q Youn Hong, Gershon Elber, Myung-Soo Kim, Implicit Functionally Graded Conforming Microstructures. Computer-Aided Design 162, September 2023 (proceedings SPM’23) open access to paper

   Award ceremony for the SMP’23 best paper awards. ADAM2 paper was awarded the 3rd best paper.

    Computational Design of 3D Auxetic Microstructures.
    Start: October 1st 2022
  • PhD and PostDoc opening at BCAM (closed)
    Possible research topics include, but are not limited to: simulations of 5-axis hybrid manufacturing, in particular 3D printing and 5-axis computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining, free-form surface rationalization, and tool-shape design and optimization.
    Deadline: March 15th 2022
  • PhD and PostDoc opening at BCAM (closed)
    Possible research topics include, but are not limited to: simulations of 5-axis hybrid manufacturing, in particular 3D printing and 5-axis computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining, free-form surface rationalization, and tool-shape design and optimization. Previous experience in geometric modeling projects is particularly welcome.
